After a failed/incomplete Strategy Roundtable Enterprise Client install, the install program crashes with the following error:
"Strategy Roundtable has not been properly Registered. Unable to update application."
To resolve this error, please do the following (assuming you are familiar with, and authorized to modify, the Registry):
- Delete the per application paths key from the Registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\sr.exe
- If there is a [powertool] section in the WIN.INI file located in the Windows program folder (usually c:\windows or c:\winnt), delete the section and its contents (sr=...).
- Retry the Strategy Roundtable Client installation. (The install set can be found in the "..\Gryphon_Systems\SR_Server\client-install-set" folder on the database server.)
