I have Microsoft Project. Why should I use Strategy Roundtable™? |
Microsoft™ Project® (MS Project) is a great tool for managing your organization’s projects in great detail.
MS Project allows you to track who is working on each project task, how the tasks are progressing and if the project is on track. In short, it is an excellent tool for tracking a project in the bidding or cost analysis stage through to project completion.
On the other hand, MS Project does not deal at all with whether or not the project being tracked is a good project with real business benefits that should receive funding, or a boondoggle that should be buried. Furthermore, MS Project cannot give you a strategic perspective on your project portfolio.
